I was born in the pacific northwest and lived in and around Seattle for the first 17 years of my life. In 1997, I moved to the atlantic northeast (this nomenclature doesn't exist... why?) and have lived in and around New York City for the last 10 years. I currently reside with my girlfriend Katia and our two cats in Brooklyn.
I'm the senior developer at Blue Flavor, a small design and development shop in Seattle (oh, the irony). I'm what you might call their New York office. I build websites and open source software that focus on simplicity and ease of use. Applications like xPad, the little app that could (and still does), and SimpleLog are good examples of how I feel software can help users focus on the task at hand. They're also both free.
Aside from all the web stuff, I'm an amateur comedian. I make short films and host a comedy podcast. From time to time I also perform improvisational and sketch comedy in NYC at places like the Upright Citizens Brigade and PIT theatres. And, from time to time, I write fiction.
